after the wedding, lancer and i spent much of the day driving around slc, getting bids on things for the house. first carpet, then tile, then cabinets, then countertops, then more tile and on and on and on. i learned the hard way not to open my mouth when we are getting bids on things. the countertop guy gave us a bid and i said "wow, that is cheap." then i felt lance kick my leg under the table and tell me under his breath to "keep my mouth shut." apparently i am not a good bargainer! i am excited to move, but there is just so much we need/want to do to the house before we move in, which means money money money and i don't know about you but we don't have an endless supply of it!! haha i wish we could go win the lottery or something! :) luckily i have a very handy hubby who can do some of the work himself, and what he can't do he is going to trade with some of the guys he works with, so hopefully we can get the inside of the house lookin as good as new as soon as possible!
we ended the night with dinner at five all's for my mom's birthday. that is my family's absolute favorite restaurant, but we don't eat there very often bc #1 it is pricey, and #2 they give each person enough food to feed a family of four. we always leave with our pants un-buttoned. haha jk. ;)
anyway, yesterday was a good, good day!

I know what you mean about wanting to do so much to your house... there is SO much furniture I want/"need" to buy to fill our new house, but its so pricy so I'll have to just do it slowly over time! Its been too long since we've seen you guys, we need to get together soon!! Oh and to answer your question, we will close on our house in about a month and will paint and stuff before we move in, so it'll probably be 5 or 6 weeks till we actually move in. I can't wait!! You guys will definitely have to come down after we move in!!!
yay Abi! She is so beautiful. I hope she starts up a blog :).
Have I recently told you how cute your mom is? Because she is! *but so are you!*
