..six whole months..

wow, it is hard to believe that as of today, lance and i have been married SIX whole months!! it is funny, bc everyone says the first year is so hard, and before we got married i just kept thinking, "it won't be hard for us. we know each other so well, and we have dated for so long...how could it really be that hard?!" haha, lets just say i was in for a real surprise -- marriage IS hard! and i don't care who you are, if you say it's not, then you are in denial or something! if i could sum up in one word what i have learned about marriage the past six months, that word would be compromise. it is about two now, not just one, and that takes a little getting used to. thank goodness the second half of the duo is someone i love and adore!! lance makes me laugh, smile, and cry tears of joy. whenever i see a picture of him, or recieve a call or text, it always fills my heart with happiness and brings a smile to my face. he is so good to put up with me (and believe me, he has to put up with A LOT)! in the past six months i feel i have gotten to know him better than in the previous two and a half years and he continues to surprise me in so many ways. so although it is hard at times, the hard times are SO worth it, bc included in the deal is a bunch of really great stuff too. so here is to my love bug -- you are my better half and i L.O.V.E. you so dang much!!
