..showered with love..

over the past couple weeks baby finn and I have been so blessed...well more like spoiled rotten...at some wonderful baby showers that were thrown in honor of this little guy inside my tummy! :-) i feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family who are so supportive and who already love finn so much.

my aunt judy threw a shower for us the first part of february. i didn't take any pictures ( dang it) but we left with some adorable clothes, a baby monitor and some soft and cuddly stuffed animals that i know finn will just love. the pups have already tried claiming them as their own, but don't worry...i didn't give in to their whining and cute puppy dog faces. :-)

last friday night some friends from usu took me out to dinner to celebrate finn. we went to buca di beppo and had so much fun reminiscing about our fun times in college and where our lives have taken us since then. two of the girls that were there are pregnant as well so it was fun talking to them about their pregnancies and how crazy it is that we are going to be moms. (i had the waitress take a picture, but my memory card wasn't in the dang camera!!!! bummer!).

last saturday my cute chi omega sisters threw a shower and of course i always love seeing those girls. we had some fun times in college but what i cherish even more is that we have kept in touch all these years later. it is so much fun going to everyones weddings and watching as they become businesswomen and moms! i just love and admire them all so much! they gave baby finn some darling clothes and some much needed baby gear (like a bouncer and diapers).

this past tuesday some women from the ward i grew up in threw a shower, and it was a blast. i have known most of these women my whole life...or maybe i should state it the other way around - they have known me my whole life! they were all telling me about how they were my sunbeam teacher/preschool teacher/dance teacher/play director/7th grade english teacher...and the list goes on and on. i just love all of them so much, and already i feel like i have learned something about motherhood from each one of them. some of my closest friends since i was a wee one came also...its so crazy to think i have pictures of these girls from when we were babies, and now here we are having babies. weird! needless to say, it was a fantastic night, and we left with so many wonderful and much needed baby gear!

i feel like i am ready for finn to come now...as ready as i'll ever be, that is. :-)
