..it's that time of year!..

my absolute favorite season, hands down, is the fall! i love everything about it...the cooler temps, the shorter days, the changing leaves, the aromas, the food......everything! if only christmas fell during the fall, then it would be absolutely perfect. :)

for some reason i go into a baking frenzy every fall, baking cookies, pies, cheesecakes...also making lots of soups and yummy meals. i don't know what it is? maybe the fresh produce that makes food taste so much better? or maybe it is just that these things mean that fall is finally here and this is my initiation into fall? i don't know, but i love it!

the past few days i have been making peach pies like there is no tomorrow! i went up to willard to my favorite place to buy peaches - pettingill's - and bought a bushel. only $18 for a huge box of peaches! then i came home, started making crusts (which i have the best and easiest recipe, if you need one!) and got busy making my peach pies. they turned out rather beautiful and delicious, if i do say so myself. i intended on giving away more than i actually have...haha but they are just so easy to eat! haha so 3 of the 9 have ended up in mine and lance's belly's. :)

..mmmm mmmmmmmm don't they look yummy?!?! they were! ;)..
